This coffee comes from independent smallholder producers across some of Guatemala’s most respected and remote coffee-growing areas, including Santa Barbara, San Pedro Néctar, San Juan Atitán, Todos Los Santos Cuchumatanes and La Libertad.
The producers deliver their coffee to Lux Cafe’s dry mill in Villa Nueva, where it is prepared for export. Cultivation and processing are managed at farm level, helping producers retain more value at origin while preserving traditional and environmentally conscious methods.

This coffee is processed using the washed method, with pulping, fermentation and drying carried out at farm level. Washed processing helps highlight clarity, brightness and clean flavour definition, allowing the natural citrus, caramelised sugar and cocoa notes to come through beautifully.
Grown between 1,500–2,000 MASL, this Strictly Hard Bean coffee benefits from slower cherry development at altitude, contributing to a refined cup with sweetness, structure and complexity.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is smooth and rich with notes of roasted almond and caramel. Our house favourite delivers exceptional balance. You will taste a gentle smokiness from roasted almond, beautifully contrasted by the sweetness of caramelised demerara sugar. It is designed to be full-bodied with warmth and depth, but with absolutely no bitterness or harsh edges.
This is a 100% Arabica multi-origin blend. Unlike cheaper blends that bulk out with Robusta, our Signature Blend Coffee uses only high-quality arabica coffee beans (specifically coffea arabica beans) sourced from five distinct regions: Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and India. This combination creates the crema and depth usually found in darker roasts but with the smoothness of pure Arabica.
Signature blends offer consistency and balance year-round. While single-origin coffees highlight a specific farm's unique traits, our Signature Blend Coffee is crafted to ensure a consistent flavor profile batch after batch. By blending arabica beans from different origins (like the body of Brazilian beans with the brightness of Kenyan beans), we create a complex, "complete" cup that single origins sometimes lack.
It is a Medium-High Roast (Strength 3). This blend is roasted to a "Medium-High" profile, which is the sweet spot for versatility. It is strong enough to provide a rich, warming cup in the morning, but smooth enough to be enjoyed all day long without overpowering your palate.
Yes, it is highly recommended for bean-to-cup machines. Because it is less oily than a dark roast but has the depth of a multi-origin blend, it flows perfectly through automatic machines. It produces a thick, rich crema, making it one of the best coffee beans for consistent home espresso.
Yes, especially if you buy the "Ground for Cafetiere" option. For the best results in a French Press, you need ground coffee beans with a medium-coarse texture. Our pre-ground option is calibrated specifically for this, allowing the water to extract the rich caramel and almond notes without clogging the filter or tasting muddy.
Yes, the rich flavor cuts through milk perfectly. The inherent sweetness (4/5) and body (4/5) of this blend ensure the coffee flavor isn't lost when you add milk. It creates a luxurious, sweet latte or cappuccino, unlike lighter roasts which can taste weak when diluted with dairy or oat milk.
We use a diverse blend from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and India. By sourcing from multiple regions between 1,000–2,000 masl, we support a wider network of growers. Spiller & Tait is a UK-based brand committed to ethical sourcing, ensuring that the beans arabica we use are not only high quality but contribute to a sustainable supply chain.
It is vastly superior in freshness. Supermarket coffee often sits in warehouses for months. We roast in small batches here in the UK. Whether you buy whole beans or ground, you are getting fresh coffee beans that retain their aromatic oils and flavor, which is the biggest factor in avoiding a stale, flat taste.
Yes, we support you after the purchase. We are known as one of the most helpful UK brands for arabica coffee beans. After buying, you'll receive tips on storage and brewing. If you want to see how others are brewing it, our product page features hundreds of reviews from customers using everything from Aeropresses to commercial espresso machines.
