SUITABLE FOR
The taste of this coffee
These beans create a coffee which is well balanced and smooth with gentle and citrus like acidity which is complimented by a caramel sweetness and cashew nut hints. The aftertaste is crisp and clean.
Origin
These unique, single origin, Peruvian Arabica beans are grown in the lush provinces of San Martin in Northern Peru. The Agraria Cafetalera cooperative was founded in 2012 and grows at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,900 metres above sea level by farmers who take great pride in their work and the community they support.
From technical assistance and quality control workshops for their farms, to economic and leadership training for the young people in their rural communities, Agragaria Cafetalera works not only to support the commercial endeavours of its 1850 coffee producing families, but also to facilitate the development of the community. They provide loans that help farmers cover the costs of the harvest and materials in the coffee production, as well as covering the costs of sending their children to school. They also fund local environmental conservation and wildlife protection projects.
Strength
